Assumed at first that they were government or police announcements relating to changes in lockdown regulations or reminding us to follow the rules. Not particularly worrying, as we do seem to keep up with the relevant information. However an online comment by an expat referred to the imam’s speech being impossible to hear on a windy day. And on reconsideration the messages do seem to follow the call to prayer, so may be exhortations to the faithful.
